Selgin 5 mg

Selgin 5 mg is a prescription anti-depressant and anti- Parkinson’s drug. It is used in combination with levodopa/Carbidopa therapy for patients with Parkinson’s disease. The medicine has the active ingredient Selegiline HCL works by preventing the breakdown of dopamine, a chemical in your brain. The low levels of dopamine are linked with the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Selgin tablet controls Parkinson's symptoms such as difficulties with muscle control, movement, and balance problems. The medicine is not able to cure the condition but may improve muscle stiffness, shakiness, a and loss of movement that occurs in patients with Parkinson's disease when the effects of another medicine decrease with time.

Common Uses of Selgin 5 mg

Selgin is prescribed with other drugs like levodopa to improve the ability to perform daily activities including walking, dressing, and exercising. It helps in nervous system disorder, movement difficulties depression, and muscle control. Selegiline is the active ingredient of the medication which is used to increase the amount of dopamine which is essential for controlling movement in the brain. Beneficial effects will have appeared as decreased tremor, improved speech, and overall disability including dressing and walking disability.
