Chantix Starter Pack : Smoking Cessation Drug
Champix Starter Pack is a prescription medication for smoking cessation in conjunction with smoking cessation counseling. It is a non-nicotine treatment that has been formulated specifically to help adults stop smoking. Quitting smoking can decrease your chances of developing serious health problems such as cardiovascular problems, lung diseases, or certain types of cancer that are associated with smoking. Champix is an oral medication supplied in the form of tablets. Its regular intake blocks or partially mimic the effects of nicotine in your brain, reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms. It works for people who have had difficulty quitting in the past. The product is not suggested for use with any other form of smoking cessation such as bupropion and nicotine patches.
How will Chantix Starter Pack help you?
Champix has the active component Varenicline, the most recent anti-smoking pharmaceutical drug to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The active ingredient is a partial nicotine acetylcholine receptor agonist, which adheres to the nicotine receptors less than nicotine. This results in a weaker response if people smoke while taking medicine. Thus, the smoker may experience less satisfaction while smoking a cigarette.
Is Champix for everyone?
Champix should only be offered to smokers as one of the options along with counseling programs to help them stop smoking. It must be prescribed as part of a program of behavioral support and by a health care specialist. It is only prescribed after a full assessment of each individual. An individual should see his/her health care specialist every two weeks during the treatment to discuss progress and collect further requests for anti-smoking treatment. Make sure that there is a constant supply of Champix in the body as missing doses may result in the course having to be started again.
