Acrotac 10mg is a capsule that contains acitretin as an active pharmaceutical ingredient. Acitretin comes under the class of drugs called retinoids, very similar to vitamin A that has anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative (lowers skin cell multiplication) actions that involve the normal growth of skin cells. Acrotac helps in treating skin diseases such as psoriasis, ichthyosis and keratosis follicularis. Psoriasis is a skin disease in which skin cells increase their growth 10 times faster than normal, leading to scaly, thick, red patches on the skin. Acrotac helps slow down the rate of skin cell growth and helps in reversing the symptoms of psoriasis. It is also effective in treating other skin diseases by reducing redness, scaling, rashes, and thickening.

 Acrotac capsule should be taken orally with a glass full of water, preferably with food. Your correct dose, quantity, and time duration for taking this medicine should be decided by your dermatologist according to your health condition. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients present in the formulation. It is better to discuss your known allergies and medical history with your dermatologist before proceeding with this medication. This medicine may interact with other non prescribed medicines; hence, do not take any medicine, including herbal products, vitamins, and over to counter medicines, without informing your doctor.  However, Acrotac is safe to use under the guidance of your doctor, but it may have some side  rise in blood fat. In some cases, serious and rare side effects may also occur, such as swelling and itching of the skin, face, lips and throat, difficulty breathing, increased blood pressure and nose bleeding.
