Sysfol 5 mg (Folic acid)

Sysfol 5mg tablet contains the active constituent Folic acid, which is used for preventing and treating low blood levels of folate (known as folate deficiency). The deficiency is low levels of folic acid in the body, as well as its problems, including “tired blood” (anaemia) and the lack of ability of the bowel to absorb nutrients  properly. The medicine is also used for other conditions commonly linked with folate deficiency, including ulcerative liver disease, alcoholism, colitis, and kidney dialysis.

Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant take folic acid to put a stop to miscarriage as well as “neural tube defects,” birth defect such as spina bifida that occurs when the fetus’s spine and back don’t close during development.
Some patients use Folic acid to prevent cervical cancer or colon cancer. It is also used to prevent heart disease and stroke, and to decrease blood levels of a chemical called homocystine. High homocysteine levels might be a threat of heart disease.

The active component of the medicine is used for alziemer’s disease, memory loss, age-related hearing loss, preventing the eye disease age-related muscular degeneration (AMD), reducing signs of AIDS, depression, nerve pain, osteoporosis, aging, jumpy legs (restless leg syndrome), sleep  problems,  muscle pain, a skin disease called vitiligo, and an inherited disease called Fragile-X syndrome. It is also used for reducing injurious side effects of treatment with the medications methotrexate and lometrexol.
