The preservative in this product may be absorbed by contact lenses. If you wear lenses, remove them before using this medication and keep them out of your eyes for at least 20 minutes after applying Xaltan.
Tilt your head back, look upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Hold the dropper straight over your eye and apply the prescribed amount of drops. Look downward and gently close your eye for 2 to 3 minutes. Place one finger at the inside corner of your eye near the nose area and apply gentle pressure. This will stop the medication from draining out. Try not to open and close the eye and do not massage your eye.

Missed dose of Xaltan eye drop?
If in case you miss applying Xaltan eye drop and you remember at the same day immediately apply it. But, if you do not remember until the next day, skip the missed application and apply it as it was scheduled by your physician. Never try to compensate the missed application by applying it more than the recommended times.
How should Xaltan eye drop be stored be stored?
Store unopened bottle under refrigeration. Protect from direct sun light. Once opened, bottle may be stored at room temperature.
