Clokeran 5 mg is a cancer medication used to slow down the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. It is beneficial in treating several types of cancer, including Hodgkin’s disease and certain types of lymphoma and leukaemia. Dosing Instructions

The dose of Clokeran varies, depending on the condition of the patient, the type of cancer he/she has, and the response to the treatment. Generally, the medicine is administered orally once daily on an empty stomach means one hour before or three hours after meals. Clokeral 5 mg is manufactured in the form of a tablet that needs to be swallowed with water. Users are not supposed to chew or crush the tablet. Your health care specialist may change your dose during the treatment depending on the needs of the patients. Dose adjustment may take place if the patient is elderly. In those cases, kidney or liver function may be monitored closely for proper function during the treatment. While taking Chlorambucil tablet, your health care provider will take your blood sample for blood test regularly to check the number of cells in your blood.

Possible Side Effects of Clokeran 5 mg

Remember, your health care specialist has prescribed Clokeran because he/she has judged the benefits to you is greater than the risk of adverse effects. However, a serious allergic reaction is rare, but if you notice any symptoms of a severe allergic reaction such as itching, rash, swelling, severe dizziness, and trouble breathing.

Precautions

Do not use Clokeran 5 mg if you are allergic to any of its activities or inactive ingredient including Chlorambucil. Let your health care specialist know about all your current medication that you have been using and medical history of bleeding problems, gout, liver disease before using this medicine. Also, speak to your health care specialist if you are pregnant or are planning to conceive before considering the medicine.
