Duphaston 10 mg is a medication which is prescribed to pregnant women at their first trimester. The purpose of this medication is to help maintain the uterine lining, also called as endometrium, preventing it from growing and causing it to produce hormones and other essential proteins required for a healthy pregnancy. The active ingredient of the medicine dihydrotestosterone, a synthetic hormone that mimics the effects of progesterone and works by correcting the levels of progesterone, which in turn protect the existing pregnancy.
