Exeget 25 mg is indicated for the treatment of breast cancer in women who no longer have their menstrual periods, either naturally after menopause or because they have had a surgical removal of the ovary. It is also effective at reducing the risk of recurrence or spreading of breast cancer. It is also given when the cancer has not responded or has returned after being treated with another medicine. The active ingredient of the medicine is Exemestane, which decreases the amount of estrogen produced by the body. Estrogen is responsible for the development and progression of breast cancer in women.
Do not use Exeget if you are allergic to Exemestane or any other ingredients of the medication. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include wheezing, trouble breathing, breathlessness, rash, itching, or hives on the skin, as well as swelling of the lips, face, tongue, and throat. Avoid using the medication if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. The cancer medication is not recommended for use in children. If this medicine makes you feel dizzy, be cautious when standing up from a lying or sitting position. If you develop these effects while taking this cancer medicine, you should avoid driving or operating machinery. Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are still having you are still having monthly periods, or have conditions like liver disease, kidney problems, osteoporosis, and vitamin D deficiency.
All medications, including Exeget 25 mg, can cause side effects. If you experience any side effects, do not worry, as most are temporary and will resolve on their own. However, some side effects require immediate medical help. More common side effects of the medicine include nausea, vomiting, indigestion, loss of appetite, constipation, diarrhoea, and stomachache. Seek immediate medical help if you develop some rare but serious side effects such as gastrointestinal disorders, aches, tendon pain, swelling, swelling in your legs, alertness, sleep, depression, abnormal vaginal bleeding, blurriness, infection of the liver.
The recommended dose is 25 mg, taken once daily. Be sure to follow your healthcare provider’s instructions when taking the medicine. Do not take the Exeget tablet if you suspect the packaging is torn or shows any sign of tampering. If the medication you receive online is expired or damaged, please return it immediately. Typically, the tablet is taken once daily, after a meal, at approximately the same time each day. Missed dose: If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time. Avoid taking two doses to make up for a missed dose.
Overdose: If you have accidentally taken too many doses of Exeget, you may need immediate medical help. You should do this if there are no visible signs of discomfort
