Farobact is an oral treatment used to treat infections caused by the bacteria. These include upper and lower respiratory tract, skin, and gynecological infections. The antibacterial drug is used to treat, prevent, and control bacterial infections by inhibiting the formation of bacterial wall required to survive the bacteria.

Dosage information

The dosage of the medicine depends on the age, weight, and medical condition of an individual, therefore it should be taken only under the supervision of a health care specialist. The tablets can be taken without regards to food. However, taking after a meal prevents gastrointestinal problems. Do not take more than the prescribed dosage. Never miss the dose, but if it happens to take the dose as soon as you remember. However, skip the dose, if it is almost time to take the next dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Don’t take two doses at the same time just to compensate for the missed dose.

Like other medicines, Faropenem may causes undesirable effects too. These may include:

• Diarrhea
• Seizures
• Chest pain
• Hearing changes
• Vision problems

Drug interactions

Concomitant use of Farobact 200 mg may increase the chances of side effects and affect the way this medicine works. So, it is a good idea to inform your health care specialist about all the medications including prescription, non-prescription, vitamins and herbal supplements.

Medicine-related precautions

• Do not take it if you are allergic toFaropenem or other inactive ingredients of the medicine. Immediately process to a nearest health care center if you suffer from an allergic reaction which includes symptoms like chest tightness, hives, rashes, swelling, and difficulty breathing.
• The medicine is not suitable for all patients, so talk to your health care provider if you are pregnant breastfeeding or are trying to conceive. One should consider the risk and benefits of using Faropenem tablets during pregnancy. Tell your health care provider if you have a history of kidney impairment.
• Never discontinue the treatment unless instructed by your health care specialist.
• The dosage of the medicine depends on the condition being treated. Patients are not allowed to adjust their doses without the approval of the health care specialist. The medicine should only be used under the supervision of a health care provider.
