Flawlizo Micro 0.1% gel is use for the treatment of acne vulgaris. It is effective against whiteheads, blackheads, and inflammatory lesions of acne, such as papules and pustules. It is also used for managing fine facial wrinkles in patients who use comprehensive skin care and sun avoidance programs, including protective clothing, sunscreen, and non-prescription non-emollient creams. The prescription-strength topical medication is formulated with tretinoin, a retinoid, in a gel base. The retinoid formulation causes the outer layer of the skin to grow more rapidly, which reduces the amount of the protein keratin in the skin. This, in turn, makes the skin thinner and less likely for pores to become blocked, reducing the recurrence of blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples.

Flawlizo Micro 0.1% gel is contraindicated in individuals with a history of sensitivity reactions. It should be discontinued if hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients is observed. Before you use Flawlizo Micro 0.1% gel, talk to your dermatologist. If you are pregnant, you should only use the tretinoin formulation after consulting your dermatologist and seeking advice from contraceptive counselling. If you become pregnant, discontinue treatment and consult your dermatologist. Also, let your dermatologist know if you are taking medicines for health conditions. Certain medications may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Avoid sun exposure as much as possible while using this topical medication. Also, avoid artificial sources of sunlight, such as UVB or UVA sunlamps. If you already have sunburn, you should avoid using Flawlizo gel until your skin has completely recovered. Moreover, avoid applying the gel to areas of the skin where you have other problems, such as sunburn, eczema, open lesions, or severely inflamed skin. Weather extremes, such as wind or cold, may also be irritating to patients who are undergoing tretinoin treatment.

If these side effects become excessively bothersome, discontinue medication and consult your dermatologist.

How to use Flawlizo Micro gel 0.1% gel?

Generally, it takes 6 to 8 weeks to see a significant benefit from applying Flawlizo Micro gel 0.1% to acne lesions. It is believed that applying once daily is significantly more effective at reducing the severity of acne lesion counts. According to research studies, therapeutic results may be observed after 2 weeks, but more than four weeks are required before you see a visible improvement.

For proper use of this medication, follow these guidelines:

  • Before applying the gel, wash with a mild, non-medicated soap and dry skin gently.
  • Apply the gel formulation once daily before bedtime or as directed by the dermatologist.
  • You should not use more than the amount of Flawlizo gel advised by your dermatologist or apply the topical medication more frequently than instructed. Excessive use may cause skin irritation and waste medication and will not offer faster or better results.
  • Keep the topical formulation away from the corners of the eyes, nose, and mouth and on open wounds or other skin areas where the treatment is not intended. Be cautious and spread the gel formulation away from these areas when applying the medication.
  • Squeeze a small amount of formulation on your fingertip, spread all over the skin where skin lesions appear, applying sufficient to cover the entire affected area lightly. Blend gently into the skin. Some patients may develop a slight, visible residue of topical medication after application.
  • If you have been prescribed another anti-acne topical medication, such as benzoyl peroxide or a topical antibiotic, avoid applying the medication at the same time as the other products.
  • Early in treatment, some patients may notice the appearance of new blemishes. During this stage, it is extremely important to continue using the medication.
  • Do not lose hope if you do not see any improvement in the appearance of your skin. Do not discontinue medication at the first signs of treatment. Visible results may be observed after two weeks, and more than four weeks of treatment are required before consistent beneficial effects are observed. It is less likely that your dermatologist will have you use this topical formulation for 6 to 8 weeks before checking your progress.
