Glycolate 2mg tablet is used to reduce excessive drooling caused by certain medical conditions. This medicine helps by decreasing the amount of saliva produces. It belongs to a class of drugs called anticholinergics. Glycolate 2 tablet works by blocking the movements of acetylcholine (a chemical messenger) which promotes to de-activation of cells that produce saliva. And this whole process helps in reducing excessive salivation or drooling. Glycolate is mainly used to treat stomach ulcers caused by hyperacidity. In surgery, it is used to help in lowering the secretions such as saliva, tracheobronchial, and pharyngeal secretions.
