It is an NSAID that reduces the hormones in the body that cause pain or inflammation.The active ingredient contained in the 500 mg tablet of Naprosyn is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, Naproxen.

Naprosyn 500 mg is an NSAID, which is used for relief from unwanted pain or inflammation caused by the conditions like arthritis, menstrual cramps, gout, bursitis, gout and ankylosing and tendinitis.
These inflammatory disorders occur when the immune system activates inflammation by mistake in the absence of inflammatory infections such as joint pain in the case of arthritis.

- Fluoxetine
- Escitalopram
- Warfarin
- Methotrexate
- Aspirin
- Diuretics
- Lithium
- Steroids
- Painkillers
- Cold and allergy medicines.
- Ketoprofen
- Diclofenac
- Celecoxib
- Heart and blood pressure medicines
- Ibuprofen
Do not use these drugs with Naproxen. Before taking Naprosyn, inform your doctor, if you are presently taking any other drug.
When should Naprosyn not be used?
You should avoid the following things:
- If you are allergic to Naprosyn, then do not consume it and consult your doctor before taking it.
- Breastfeeding women are not advised to take Naprosyn as it can pass into breast milk and harm the baby. Take it if your advised to do so after the proper monitoring of your body. Administration of Naprosyn is not recommended during the last trimester. Consult your physician, if you are planning to get pregnant.
- If you have a background of kidney and liver disorders, then tell you doctor before taking the drug.
- If you have ever had a blood clot, stroke or heart attack then also inform your doctor.

- Do not smoke while taking Naprosyn.
