Nucoxia 60 mg contains the active ingredient Etoricoxib. It is an effective medicine prescribed for the treatment of gout, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is a long-term inflammatory condition of the joints that causes stiffness, pain, swelling, and loss of movement. It may also cause inflammation in other parts of the body. Osteoarthritis is a joint disease characterised by the gradual breakdown of cartilage, which cushions the ends of bones. This causes pain, tenderness, swelling, stiffness and disability. People dealing with gout suffer from sudden recurring attacks of extremely painful redness and swelling in the joints. It occurs due to the deposition of mineral crystals in the joints. Ankylosing spondylitis is an inflammatory condition of the spine and large joints.

The active ingredient in this medication is Etoricoxib, which blocks cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2), a naturally occurring enzyme in the body. Nucoxia 60 contains the active ingredient Etoricoxib, a cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor used to treat gout, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. Etoricoxib is categorised under the class of medications known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It helps reduce pain and swelling in joints and muscles of individuals aged 16 years and older, thereby relieving symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The medication is also effective as the short-term treatment of moderate pain after undergoing a dental surgery in individuals 16 years of age and older.

How to use Nucoxia 60 mg? (infographics and instructions)

You should always take the medicine as your healthcare specialist has told you. Do not exceed the recommended dose for your condition. You may be advised to use the lowest dose that helps control your pain, and you should not take this medication for a longer period than necessary. This is because prolonged usage, especially with high concentrations of Etoricoxib, is associated with heart attacks and strokes. The recommended dosage is to take once daily. Keep taking Nucoxia 60 mg, even if you start feeling better. Do not stop using it without checking with your physician, even if you feel better. Always remember that the medication works as a controlling agent, not a cure. People with severe liver problems may be advised the lowest possible dose of Etoricoxib.
