Nucoxia 90 mg is used to reduce pain and swelling of the joints and muscles of individuals 16 years of age and older with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, gout, and ankylosing spondylitis.  It can also be prescribed for a short-term period to treat moderate pain after dental surgery in individuals 16 years and older.

Nucoxia tablets contain the active ingredient Etoricoxib, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It functions by blocking the production of COX-2 enzymes that are required to cause inflammation. The prostaglandin causes the pain that occurs during menstrual periods. Nucoxia is known to efficiently reduce pain and cramps by blocking the production of prostaglandins.
