Qutipin 100mg is a prescription treatment for patients with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It can also be used as an add-on treatment for major depressive episodes. Schizophrenia is a severe disease that disables an individual’s brain. It may cause symptoms that change how an individual feels, thinks, and behaves. These people struggle to think, distinguish between what is real and what is fake, make decisions, and control their emotions.
Quitpin 100mg contains the active substance Quetiapine, which is part of a group of medications known as atypical antipsychotics. It relieves symptoms such as hearing voices, feeling, seeing, or sensing things that are not there, unpleasant thoughts, feeling paranoid, being withdrawn, and lacking motivation. The medication is also indicated for people who have bipolar mood disorder when they are over-excited (mania) or when they feel low. Sometimes, a healthcare specialist may include Quetiapine in your treatment regimen for depression to help control your symptoms.
Do not drive, operate complex machinery, or engage in any activity that requires your full attention until you know how Quitipin 100mg tablets affect you. The medicine may make you drowsy. Avoid overheating or dehydration by any means (overexercising, staying in hot weather, wearing heavy clothing, or not drinking enough water). If you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding, tell your healthcare specialist before taking the medication.
Here are symptoms that may occur in newborns of mothers who used this medication in the last trimester: muscle stiffness, weakness, shaking, agitation, breathing difficulties, and trouble feeding. If yoru baby develops any of these symptoms, you need to see a healthcare specialist. Some other medications may interact with Qutipin and cause unwanted effects. Do not take the Quetiapine formulation if you are taking some HIV medicines, azole medicines (for fungal infection), erythromycin and clarithromycin (for infections), or nefazodone for depression. Let your health care specialist know if you are taking medications for depression, epilepsy, high blood pressure, difficulty sleeping (barbiturates), mental conditions (other antipsychotic medications such as lithium, thioridazine), certain antibiotics, constipation, or medicines that affect the heartbeat, which includes diuretics. Qutipin is contraindicated if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. You should not take this medication during pregnancy unless this has been discussed with your healthcare specialist. The medication should not be used if you are breastfeeding. The use of this antipsychotic medication is not recommended for patients with a background of health conditions like hypomagnesemia, bradycardia, or hypokalemia. It is not suitable for patients with congenital long QT syndrome.

Take Qutipin tablets exactly as your healthcare specialist prescribes. Do not make any changes to the dosing regimen. Take the tablets orally before or after eating your meal. You may be advised to take the tablet once daily at bedtime or twice daily, depending on yoru illness. Your healthcare provider may begin treatment on a lower dose and increase the dose slowly if you are elderly or have liver problems. Swallow the tablet with a glass of water. If you feel like not taking tablets anymore and stopping the medication, discuss with your doctor before discontinuing the medicine, as sudden discontinuation may have side effects such as trouble staying asleep, or difficulty sleeping, nausea and vomiting.
Take the missed dose when you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and take the next dose on time. Don’t take an extra dose to make up for the missed one.
