Precautions

- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Taking nelfinavir for HIV infection, azole medicines for fungal infections, medicines for an infection (clarithromycin, erythromycin) and nefazodone for depression.
- Older adults with dementia (loss of brain function). This is because the class of medications that Quetiapine belongs to may increase the risk of stroke, and in some cases, there is a risk of death in individuals with dementia.
