Qutipin 50mg tablet is an atypical antipsychotic drug prescribed in certain therapeutic conditions, which include schizophrenia, moderate to severe manic bipolar disorder, depression due to bipolar disorder, and prevention of recurrence of manic or depressed episodes in patients with bipolar disorder. The medicine aims to restore the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain and enhance mood, sleep, energy levels, and hunger. Prevention of hallucinations and reduction in mood swings can also be done with medication. Psychotic disorders are severe mental conditions that instigate abnormal thoughts and perceptions, which can cause individuals to lose touch with reality. The medicine controls the symptoms of delusions and hallucinations, thereby improving the quality of life.

Qutipin 50mg contains Quetiapine as the active ingredient, which produces an antipsychotic effect by restoring the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain. It reduces hallucinations and improves concentration. The medicine works by correcting the chemical balance in the brain. This, in turn, decreases extrapyramidal side effects such as motor restlessness, continuous muscle spasms, irregular, jerky body movements, tremor, and slowness of movement. It also exerts some antidepressant effects, thus helping individuals with certain mental illnesses. The medicine is widely used for the treatment of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. There is no evidence that this antipsychotic agent is addictive. Your healthcare specialist continues to give you these tablets when you are feeling better to prevent your symptoms from recurring.
