Rosubest 10mg contains the active ingredient Rosuvastatin, which belongs to a group of medicines known as statins. These medications lower the bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise the good cholesterol (HDL) when lifestyle changes, like diet and exercise, are not enough to correct your cholesterol levels. Rosubest 10mg is a prescription medication used to lower high cholesterol levels. It can also be useful at reducing the risk of having a stroke or heart attack if you are above 50 years old and have at least two risk factors for developing a heart attack or stroke, such as low levels of good cholesterol, high blood pressure, smoking, or a history of premature coronary heart disease (CHD).
Cholesterol and triglycerides are present in everyone’s blood. They are fatty substances required by the body to perform numerous functions. Triglycerides are considered an energy source for the body. Cholesterol is crucial for building cells, producing bile acids (which are required for digesting food), and synthesising certain hormones. Too much of the bad cholesterol can result in blockage of blood vessels that supply your brain and heart with blood, and can contribute to angina, heart attack, and stroke. Good cholesterol helps remove bad cholesterol from the blood.
Precautions and warnings with the rosubest 10mg pill

Avoid taking the medications if you have active liver disease or if medical tests demonstrate levels of liver enzymes which could point towards a problem with your liver.
Do not take these cholesterol-lowering medications if any of the following apply to you:
- A personal or family history of hereditary muscular disorders
- A history of very heavy alcohol use
- A previous history of muscular issues from using other lipid-lowering agents

How to use?
How to take a Rosubest 10mg pill?
Depending on your condition, your healthcare professional will decide the dose that best suits you. If you have high cholesterol, your healthcare specialist will likely initiate your treatment with a 5mg or 10mg dose, taken once daily. Your healthcare provider will then monitor your cholesterol and triglyceride levels while you are receiving the medication, and if necessary, may increase your dose of Rosuvastatin to 20 mg once daily. For most patients, a maximum dose of 20 mg once daily is sufficient for treating high cholesterol. A small population of patients (whose high cholesterol is hereditary) may require further dose adjustment; the dose may need to increase to 40 mg once a day. If you have normal cholesterol levels, but you have risks for developing a heart attack or stroke, your healthcare provider may begin treatment with 20 mg. Your healthcare specialist will advise you on the dose that is appropriate for you. The daily recommended dose should not exceed 40 mg daily.
Rosubest is usually taken once daily, on the same day each day. Keeping the same time for taking the medication will help remind you to take it. The medication can be taken at any time of day. It doesn’t matter whether you take it with food or on an empty stomach. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
You must continue taking it as instructed by the healthcare professional. The tablets are only effective at lowering your blood cholesterol and triglycerides. It does not cure your condition. If you discontinue treatment, your cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood may rise. You may need to take this medication for the rest of your life.
