Soliten 10mg is discovered to treat the following symptoms caused by an overactive bladder in adults:
- Urinary frequency – the urge to urinate more often than usual
- Urinary urgency - a strong need to urinate
- Urge incontinence - a strong need to pass urine with leaking accidents
Solifenacin, the medicine's active ingredient, is a muscarinic receptor antagonist that antagonizes bladder smooth muscle contraction, thereby decreasing overactive bladder symptoms. It improves your ability to control urination by relaxing the bladder muscles.

Stop taking medicine and get medical help if you have any of the following serious allergic reactions:
- Severe itching
- Swelling
- Hives
- Skin rash
- Breathing problems
- Swelling of your face, mouth, or tongue
The most common side effects include Blurred vision, Dry mouth, Urinary tract infection, and Constipation. You should immediately inform your doctor if any of the above troubles you.
The recommended dose of Soliten is 10 mg once daily; it is a prescription medicine and should be taken for the duration and dosage set by your doctor. You can take Soliten before or after consuming food. You should take the tablet with water and swallow it whole. You are not supposed to crush the tablets.
Precautions
Do not take Soliten 10 mg if you:
- Have an eye disorder called uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma
- Are you allergic to any of the ingredients of the medicine
- Have urinary retention (a condition in which a person is not able to empty his bladder)
- Have gastric retention
Tell your doctor if you have liver diseases, kidney disorders, or heart-related or gastrointestinal problems. Also, let your doctor know if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are a nursing mother. Soliten 10 mg should not be given to children and adolescents under 18. It may cause vision problems and sometimes tiredness. If you experience these adverse events, do not drive or indulge in a task that needs mental attention. Solifenacin tablets contain lactose, so if you are intolerant to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following drugs:
- Medicines to treat tuberculosis
- Other anticholinergic drugs
- Medicines that make the digestive system work faster
- Medicines used to treat fungal infections
- Medicines to treat esophagitis
- Medicines to treat other bacterial infections
