Treticon Forte cream .025%

Treticon Forte cream .025% is a topical medicine for treating acne vulgaris. It contains the active ingredient Tretinoin which encourages cell turnover (shedding dead skin cells and subsequently replaced with newer ones) that treats breakouts and decreases the appearance of acne scarring. Tretinoin is also effective in regulating the skin’s natural oil production, which can prevent future breakouts. They also have anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce swelling and redness associated with acne.      

How to use

Apply Treticon Forte cream once daily before you go to sleep. People with sensitive skin can apply the cream every other night. Make sure you apply the product on clean and dry skin. Wait for at least 20 to 30 minutes after washing the skin. Always follows a dermatologist’s advice when it comes to using tretinoin formulation. Applying too much of the medicine can irritate your skin. When applying for the medicine, squeeze some product onto your fingertips. Just a pea size amount is sufficient for your entire affected area. Spread evenly all over the acne-affected area. It is recommended to apply a moisturizer with sunscreen that will not worsen your acne. The product may take up to twelve weeks to see results. If your skin gets irritated by using it, check with a dermatologist to see if your symptoms do not improve within six weeks of regular usage.   

Precautions

Before tretinoin prescription and eventual use, pregnancy status should be negative via a urine pregnancy test before using Tretinoin. Treticon Forte cream is not recommended for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding. When using this topical formulation,  be careful about your exposure to the sun. Due to skin cell turnover and decreased sebum, the skin can be sun sensitive for the initial weeks of the treatment or longer, making it more likely to get sun damage or sunburn. Apply sunscreen whenever you are stepping out in the sun and consider additional protective measures such as wearing a hat with a brim. If you feel like having an allergic reaction or experiencing serious adverse effects associated with Tretinoin, stop using the product and get immediate medical help.    

Side effects

Using a tretinoin formulation for acne can cause side effects. Not everyone will get all the side effects associated with Tretinoin, and some may be more severe than others. Possible adverse effects include itchy, burning skin, peeling, redness, peeling, unusual dryness of skin, and a warm feeling. Sometimes the skin may even get lighter colour at the spot where Treticon Forte cream is applied.
