Tazret forte cream 0.1% is indicated for the treatment of patients with plaque psoriasis. Formulated with Tazarotene, a retinoid formulation derived from vitamin A, effective in treating both non-inflammatory and inflammatory acne, including whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, papules, nodules, and plaque psoriasis. The prescription-strength topical retinoid works by reducing excessive keratin buildup, preventing pore clogging, and accelerating skin cell turnover, making it suitable for acne-prone and damaged skin. Tazret forte cream 0.1% is a high-strength formulation suitable for cases requiring a strong treatment under medical supervision. Tazarotene promotes the shedding of dead skin cells; it is useful in preventing whiteheads and blackheads. Reducing inflammation helps calm inflamed acne lesions and reduces redness over time. Tazret Forte cream regulates sebum production, reducing the chances of future breakouts. Regular application improves skin texture. It helps regulate sebum production, reducing the chance of future breakouts. Also, with continuous use, acne marks, post-inflammatory pigmentation, and rough patches on the skin fade away.
What precautions should be taken?
Local tolerability reactions, including blistering, skin desquamation and hypersensitivity reactions, have been observed with Tazret cream 0.1%. Application of this topical formulation may cause excessive irritation in patients with sensitive skin. Some people may develop excessive pruritic redness, burning, or peeling of the skin. If these side effects occur, the topical formulation should be discontinued until the skin is restored or the dosing should be reduced to an interval the patient can tolerate. However, the effectiveness of reduced application frequency has not been established. Concomitant use of topical emollients and cosmetics with a strong drying effect should be avoided. Also, the topical medicine should not be applied to skin affected with eczema as it may cause severe irritation. Weather extremes, such as wind or cold, may be more irritating to patients who use tazarotene. Tazret cream is not recommended during pregnancy unless recommended by a healthcare specialist. The topical medication may make your skin more sensitive to the sun; therefore, it is important to avoid excessive sun exposure. Tazret cream should be used with caution if the patient is also taking medications known to be photosensitizers (tetracyclines, sulfonamides, phenothiazines, fluoroquinolones) because of the increased possibility of photosensitivity.
What are the possible side effects?
The most frequent side effects reported with Tazret cream include erythema, pruritus, and burning. Other side effects include irritation, stinging, desquamation, contact dermatitis, worsening of psoriasis, rash, dry skin, hypertriglyceridemia, peripheral oedema, and skin inflammation. The retinoid formulation is associated with a higher degree of local irritation than other-strength formulations. Call your healthcare specialist for medical advice about side effects.
How to use Tazret forte cream?
Tazret cream 0.1% is for topical use only. It is not for ophthalmic, oral or intravaginal purposes. Use Tazret forte cream exactly as prescribed by your healthcare specialist. Apply the cream one time daily in the evening. A thin film of cream once daily, preferably in the evening, covering only the psoriatic lesions, is sufficient. If a bath or shower is taken before applying the cream, the skin must be dry. Do not get the medication in your eye, on your eyelids, or in your mouth. In case of accidental application, rinse them well with water. Call your healthcare specialist or get medical help if you have eye irritation that doesn’t go away. Rinse your hands after applying Tazret forte cream. If emollients are to be applied, they should be used at least one hour before applying the Tazarotene formulation. Because unaffected skin may be more prone to irritation, Tazret forte cream should be carefully avoided in these areas. Note that consistency is key; with regular application, one can expect to see significant visible improvement within 4 to 8 weeks, generally depending on the individual’s response.
