Ivermectin 6mg

Ivermerc 6 mg contains the active ingredient Ivermectin for oral administration. Ivermectin is a US Food and Drug Administration approved prescription medicine used to treat certain infections caused by internal and external parasites.

It is indicated for the treatment of the following infections:

• Onchocerciasis (river blindness)
• Strongyloidiasis-Infection usually results in asymptomatic chronic disease of the gut, which can remain undetected for many years.        

When used as prescribed for approved indications, the medicine is generally safe and tolerated.

Ivermectin works by paralyzing the infection-causing organisms. This slows down the multiplication rate of the susceptible organism, thus treating the infection. By treating parasitic infections, Ivermerc helps to improve your quality of life. In people with weakened immune systems, curing parasitic infections can reduce the risk of developing a severe or life-threatening infection.     

How to use Ivermec 6mg?

Ivermerc is available in the form of a tablet. Take it on an empty stomach with a glass full of water. You usually need to take one tablet once daily to get rid of the parasitic infection 

When use inappropriate does of approved indications, Ivermerc is generally well tolerated. Drink lots of fluid avoid caffeine while taking the anti-parasitic drug. Your doctor may get blood and stool tests after taking medicine to check if you get rid of the infection. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeed.    

Ivermectin is effective when used in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. Do not consider treatment discontinuation even if you see improvement in your condition. Finish the full course of treatment    

If you forget a dose of Ivermerc, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the dose you have missed to follow the regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses to make up for the missed one, as it may increase the risk of developing side effects. Ivermerc should be best used under medical supervision.

 What Precautions should be taken? 

Ivermerc 6mg is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any medicine components. The FDA has not approved ivermectin for the treatment of Covid 19.  

Educate patients about the risks of using Ivermerc without a prescription or accidentally ingesting more Ivermectin tablets than the recommended amount.

 What are the side effects of Ivermec 6mg?

Get immediate medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction to Ivermerc. These include hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips/throat/tongue. Call your doctor if you have a severe skin rash, fast heart rate, trouble breathing, confusion, loss of bowel control, seizure, back pain, a light-headed feeling.  Common Ivermectin side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, mild skin rash, headache, and dizziness. This is not a complete list of side effects; others may occur. Speak to your doctor if you develop any serious side effects.
