Stress is one of the most common modern day problems that affect both males and females equally. Stress is a difficult condition to deal with, still we have compiled a number of easy ways males can reduce stress.


If you are among those individuals who are suffering from stress and anxiety attack, then do not worry you are not the only one. If you ever feel overwhelmed or like you are going to have a panic show, then you might be overburdened with stress. Stressful conditions can occur when you are challenged to do something or you are upset over an issue or thing.

Just like you can tell any other presumable changes in your body, you can also tell when your body or mind is in stress. Here, are a few warning signs that you must note to guess that your body is in stress:

Heart is beating quickly
Blood pressure shoots up
Stomach might feel pain

Do exercise regularly:

Exercise is a wonderful stress buster. Whenever you do an exercise it is known to release certain chemical in the body known as endorphins, these endorphins are stress busters and help to make you more relaxed and happy. It is not required that you enrol for some vigourous exercise or hit the gym. Many sports activities and leisure activities like jogging can boost your mood levels.

Simplify your life:

Do not overburden yourself with lot many things to do at the same time. Make a list of things you are supposed to do and then check those which are of prime importance and accomplish the task satisfactorily.

Take a break:

Even men need some break from their regular schedules. Like shopping does wonders to boost a woman’s mood, men can also take some time out to enjoy the things they like to do like going for a long drive or reading a book or even watching your favourite sport on television.

Sleep peacefully:

If you are spending too many sleepless nights, then it might not only take a toll on your health, but it can also stress you out completely. It is very necessary that you take a good night’s sleep of 6-8 hours so that your mind can shut down and regain its energy to accept the new challenges of a new day. An extra one or two hour sleep is good for rejuvenation of the body.

Meditate and talk to your friend:

To reduce stress in men, scientists often ask to do at least 20-30 minutes of meditation daily in the morning so as to bring your mind and body into a peaceful and relaxed state. Meditation can help you to ward off any negative thoughts and feel calm, positive and relaxed.

You can meditate, talk to your friend, pray to god, do yoga or practice tai-chi to clear your mind and refresh your thoughts.

Writing and expressing yourself:

If you love writing, then you can utilize this hobby of yours to reduce stress. Writing your thoughts down on a paper is often considered a good stress buster. It is known to help you write your emotions and make a clear picture of your thoughts. That is why people who are suffering from extreme stress are advised to maintain a journal, a diary or write a story to express themselves fully.

Eat well:

Often people who are lot of stress feel that they can reduce their stress levels or relax themselves by indulging in their favourite food. Stress is often known to induce bad eating habits and promote obesity. Hence, the person who is suffering from extreme stress should know that they should opt for nutritious preferences of food over junk and unhealthy diet.

Alcohol and binge eating are the worst options, one can use to de-stress themselves. These two are very harmful and can put destructive effects on your health as well as life. So, in case of extreme stress parental guidance, love, care and professional counselling are suggested to reduce stress in men.
