Azelaic Acid Gel is one of the naturally occurring acids. It is a topical medication that helps clear or reduce pimples and blackheads. It works on acne, too. It belongs to the class of medications called dicarboxylic acids. It works by treating acne by killing bacteria that can infect the pores and by reducing keratin production (the natural substance that contributes to acne).

For how long should it be applied?
Even if the results are positive, one should use it for as long as the doctor recommends.
What if you forget a dose?
Do not forget your dose. If you forget a dose, skip the second dose. Never take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
What if you overdose?
Consult your dermatologist immediately if you realise that an extra amount of Azelaic Acid Cream has been applied to your skin.
What are the side effects?
